During my tenure with Mouawad in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai from 1995 to 1997, I had the rare privilege of examining some of the most extraordinary, historically significant, and rarest gemstones in the world. These magnificent treasures, each with a unique story and unparalleled beauty, deepened my appreciation for the artistry and heritage of fine jewelry.
Beyond my hands-on experience with these exceptional gems, I played a pivotal role in training professionals across multiple levels of the company. From factory artisans who meticulously crafted each piece to high-level executives shaping strategic decisions, as well as retail staff and management teams worldwide, I provided in-depth education on gemology, craftsmanship, and luxury retail excellence. My training ensured that every individual, regardless of their role, possessed the expertise and confidence needed to uphold the brand’s legacy of quality and prestige.
I had the privilege of examining the largest and rarest sapphire in the world during my time with Mouawad in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 1995. The centerpiece was a magnificent 101.52-carat Kashmir sapphire set in a necklace. Several of the accompanying gemstones were custom-cut to seamlessly complement the intricate design of the piece.
