In 2000, I began visiting the Chimento factory in Vicenza, Italy, where I worked in the US on brand and marketing strategies for the company. From 2000 to 2002, I traveled to Italy twice a year, not only to visit the factory but also to invite select US retail owners to experience the factory firsthand. During these trips, I arranged visits to the Vicenzaoro shows, as well as tours of Italy, including trips to Venice and Rome.
